As part of Kenya Day on Friday, students learned how to play mancala. This is a fun game that you can even play at home with an empty egg carton.

We made a few changes from the original game to play inside our classroom.

Calling all surgeons!! 

This quarter one of our grammar topics is contractions. Students practiced cutting apart the two words and stitching them up with a band-aid for their apostrophe.

On Monday, 2nd grade was in charge of running our Jaguar Jumpstart all school meeting. Thanks to these students in our class who helped teach our school about forgiveness! 

Tomorrow 1/5 students earned a game party. We will be playing some games that students can bring from home. Your child can bring a game to share with the class. Please no electronic devices. A game is not required for tomorrow. All students will be participating in this party!

What's a didgeridoo????

Ask your second grader, they should know!

If not, you are in luck! Students will be making their own didgeridoo on Friday during our Australia Day. 

Please send $1.25 to cover the cost of the didgeridoo.
